got mamehooker working with one odd issue
« on: September 25, 2015, 03:15:23 am »
Got my ultrawide LG working as a second marquee monitor with hooker, what an awesome program.  The odd thing is, the first time I launch a game, on the marquee monitor I get a little window that says "starting..." and stays there on top of the marquee.  if I quit the game and start it again it doesn't show up.  I'm running Mala.  I guess it's not a huge deal as it seems to go away after one start but if anyone knows what that might be I'd like to clear it up.
Thanks Dragon King!!!!!!!

Mala is responsible for the starting window.
I can't remember if there is a way to disable it, but there is an option to replace it with a fullscreen picture.

Look through mala.ini and the tabs in mala options for an option to turn it off.

If no luck there, you could try creating a completely transparent image and make that your fullscreen starting picture.
Mala doesn't handle transparency well in other aspects, so it may or may not work here.
Not sure what would happen if you point mala toward a bad or non-existant file as the starting picture.
If it just doesn't load anything and doesn't give any error messages, that could work.
