Yeah. I gotta do everything up in cad anyway so that my CNC guy can convert it to machine code.

In any case, what sized monitors went in these?

Derp.  Hmm.  I have a 13" WG sitting in my gameroom, doing nothing...

Yeah - I've got several 19 and 20" monitors picked up from arrowdirect that are looking for homes still - thinking this might be a nice home for one of them (also have the core2duo E8400 system I picked up from them for $57 during last years sales.)

Started thinking about a layout and most of it will fit on a single 4x8 sheet of MDF (3/4" x 49"x 97") - and already have some spare 1/2" MDF for the back panel that wouldn't fit - so might just have to give it a try !

I don't think you'll fit a 19 or 20" monitor in this thing without some modifications.

Yeah would need some modification but figure the 20" hp2065 monitor is 16"x12" viewable with a 3/4" bezel case all around so outer dimensions are 17.5" x 13.5" in the case so if I make the inner pieces 22" wide and leave the depth the same it would be a tight fit to put it in vertically but should just fit in the available space ( might go down to the 19" Dell 1908FP instead if it's too tight) but then again if using the MDF panel they give you an extra inch of width to the panel so could make the depth 24 7/16" ( (49 - 1/8")/2 ( 1/8" is the width of saw blade when cutting panel in half) instead of 23 5/8" to get a bit more depth !

If recreating I'd definitely go a bit wider on the cab and make room for a larger monitor !

I dunno, there is a reason why you never saw two-player cabarets...

True - but it's getting hard to find a cheap 13" monitors - so if making a kit for sale I'd think being able to fit a slightly larger screen in there would make more sense than limiting it to hard to find 13" screens ( plus my eyesight not being what it used to be needs a bit larger game screen these days  :laugh2: ).

I agree with Yots.  The whole point of having a cabaret is to have a  small machine.  If you want a full size Nintendo cab there are plenty of plans on the web.

Yes, and it's not really that hard to find a 13" or 14" CRT monitor if you look aroud a while. And I'm sure you could cram a 15" LCD in there with no problem.

I was able to fit a 15" LCD in my Space Invaders slimline without issue.  It's pretty close to the same dimensions
