My Jukebox project
« on: July 19, 2015, 09:26:21 pm »
Hello. Finally after years and years of wanting to get this done I finally decided to do it. Also a big thanks goes out to my dad for help as well in this project. I consider this a standalone type jukebox simply because it has no speakers. It is meant to be used in any environment as well as being able to move it to play as well. It weighs a ton, if I had to guess I'd say somewhere in the 40-60 lb. range.
PC specs:

- ASRock AM1H-ITX AM1
- AMD Sempron 3850 Kabini Quad-Core 1.3GHz Socket AM1 25W SD3850JAHMBOX
- G.SKILL AEGIS 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 1600  F3-1600C11S-4GIS   x  2
-Crucial MX100 CT256MX100SSD1 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC SSD
-Asus 90w Laptop PSU
-Inland Nugiant Energy Saving Smart Surge Protector
-S/PDIF rear port pass through connector
-Audio Jack USB 2.0 combo rear pass through port
-ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan(Enlobal 900 rpm detachable fan blade)
-Elo ET1545L 15" touchscreen
-Beta Brite dot matrix display(red)

Cabinet is wrapped in elephant hyde tolex(this is THE stuff purchased from Marshall that they use on Amp and head unit cabinets). Also used is red piping for the trim. Dark smoke plexi covers the marquee area. 150mm fan cover and filter covers rear fan.

Dimensions(overall) are as follows:
Height - 36 3/4"
Width - 18 3/4"
Depth - 8"

Now for pics(apologies for not the greatest quality in pics. I still need to purchase a new one hehe).

Some build pics

I hope to get the O/S and the software and any other files installed tomorrow. Jukebox software is probably going to be Barry's fantastic Freebox Jukebox software.

Reserved space for additional notes/pics)

that's pretty great. assuming its gonna free stand like an AMP and not wall mount due to the fan placement?

I really like the look of that.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

correct it is free standing on its own. Its done except maybe a small logo on the front and getting the software complete.

That looks really nice and professional.  Using that wrap is a great idea.    :applaud:
