Games that woulda made great Colecos or Nintendo Tabletops
« on: June 12, 2015, 11:17:22 pm »
So that really choice Coleco DK got me thinking about the collection of classic desktop games, the ones that are the most iconic IMO are the Colecos and the Nintendo Game & Watch tabletops, but the selection was rather limited.  What games would you like to have seen as a desktop in those styles?  I'm thinking classics that use no more than a joystick and a button or two - things that would be feasible to actually recreate.  Sure Tron would be neat but how playable would it be with wee tiny ass controls - and how good of a game is it really (I know, I love it too but honestly it is a bit of stinker).

I was thinking about games that would be totally unexpected but awesome to see, post up your ideas!

Coleco:

Journey
FiFjr
Joust 2

Nintendo Tabletop:

I Robot
Trog

Oh man I played the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out of Amidar on the 2600.  Loved that title.

I love playing it in MAME. Never saw one IRL.
