LT's Mario Pedestal. The theme is over the top, ball point pen skills unmatched, and a simple 2 player 4 button layout is refreshing to see. Great job, my man!

Excluding my own; if I was racking and stacking these I think LT's then PBJ's would be my top two. It's a bit of a toss-up since PBJ's is a really well done "traditional" pedestal while LT's does such a great job blending the lines between form and function. Great builds this year!

It's not V1 of the concept (

), but I like the end result of LT's project.

And I'm not much of a pedestal fan, but I do have to say that ALL of these are great builds and worthy of nomination.

I need to get a better photo. I should have taken some when it was set up in the living room with friends over.
What ever. I don't think a better pic will help me much any way. Just excited to be nominated.

I really like them all. Excluding my own, I think LT's & PBJ are about equal for the top spot. If you asked me a week ago I would have said LT's, but at the moment I think PBJ's would be my top pick. I like all the detail, planing, and hard work that when in to LT's but if I had to switch pedestal with one of the other nominees it would be for the Turtlebox. It's a close one.

I have to go with LT's Mario Pedestal. I liked how the project evolved into something quite creative and well thought out.

Tough choice though.. all the other builds are very impressive

LT's mario gets my vote. All the tedious work and not to mention the measurements to line up the tiles exactly has to pay off!

Despite me not really liking Pedestals (I never even saw one until recently), and GOT not being an arcade game I gotta give it to LeChuck. It's just a ridiculously cool concept turned into a perfectly realized design.

LT's Mario was soooooo close too though.

Thanks guys, it was a really fun experiment. The guy it went to was just texting me over Christmas about how much it's getting played and how well its held up. That build gave me some other ideas that I'll explore later and I'm appreciative of the warm response it has had for being as off the wall as it is.

As a guy who has both won and lost categories in past UCAs I can tell you that, while wins are nice, loses on here aren't bad, because you're not really competing. My build already won. It won when I was happy with it and (in my case) the client was happy with it. That was my first pedestal, I've learned a lot, but I learned more through severdhed's thread and several others. We all stand on eachother's shoulders here ya dig. I don't think I'm walking with the ribbon this year but all that does is give me another set of shoulders to stand on later.

i voted for the one that has an intricate and redundant pattern cut into the wood with a rotary tool, then filled in with ball point pen.

I really like all of these builds. Each one of them I could write a whole paragraph arguing why it's the best. However I gotta go with the one that started out life as a filing cabinet.

I voted for Severd, as his build was the inspiration of the monstrosity that I'm building.

All awesome builds. I prefer to vote based on what I would want in my house. Ultimately, I would play every single cab built and nominated for a UCA. I think the ultimate justification is it sitting in my alcohol room.
