Thanks guys, it was a really fun experiment. The guy it went to was just texting me over Christmas about how much it's getting played and how well its held up. That build gave me some other ideas that I'll explore later and I'm appreciative of the warm response it has had for being as off the wall as it is.
As a guy who has both won and lost categories in past UCAs I can tell you that, while wins are nice, loses on here aren't bad, because you're not really competing. My build already won. It won when I was happy with it and (in my case) the client was happy with it. That was my first pedestal, I've learned a lot, but I learned more through severdhed's thread and several others. We all stand on eachother's shoulders here ya dig. I don't think I'm walking with the ribbon this year but all that does is give me another set of shoulders to stand on later.
