So the "Free Hoops" software (yeah, clever name, I know) is pretty much fully functional now, I just need to clean out some of the unnecessary code left over from the Skeeball game that I cannibalized and finalize all the default sound effects and music before I call it done. Like I said earlier, it is very customizable in both appearance and gameplay and users will be able to replace all images and sounds as well as configure a "score blitz" feature that adds bonus point(s) to each shot made within a certain amount of time of the game ending.
I'm thinking I will have a thread up in the Software section with a download link sometime this week. Some teasers:

This means that puffyeye has to get this build going so we can all see the software in action! No pressure!
@purpstuff
That is a sick set up! I had started a separate thread yesterday and thankfully got pointed to this one by PL1!
What I'm doing is having 3 sports(football,basketball, and baseball) life size arcades (28'x8-10' frames) set up next to each other with small TVs as their scoreboard.
I'm really excited about it but this is my first time really getting involved in creation. I went and checked out a bunch of the the skee-ball creations and they look amazing! I'm going to probably base the form on something similar to those because they look really good. I've been researching and learning and am thankful I found this forum. It has been a lot of weight lifted off my shoulders so far.
With that said though about the 3 sports next to one another, I have a few questions.

1) Each game would be separate to the next in scoring and starting. Would that mean that I need 3 different setups and computers to make them work correctly??

2) I want there to be a gate that releases the balls in each sport, do you have any suggestions or insight on how to construct that? (like maybe a diagram)
3) I would like to be able to start the game for each sport from one central area, not on the actual game.
I attached a very simple diagram I made on my phone, lol.
Any suggestions or information would be amazing. Thanks!!
