My first CP layout attempt...

In the atwork forum, I posted my first attempt at my panel layout and associated artwork.  I'd appreciate any comments, that is, unless they are unkind ;D.

I think your layout looks pretty good.  The best thing to do is make a cardboard mock up before actually constructing your final cp.

The only change I would make is that I would remove the 3 buttons next to the spiner.  I think that the top 3 player 1 or 2 buttons will suffice.  I would then put your spinner where those 3 buttons were.

What game is the 'G' button for?

Good luck

I like the classic artwork.  Very nice.

I see a few things.
Pause and Exit are entirely too close together.  You'll end up quitting a game by accident.

Is 'Player 1' button the Coin Up or Player 1 Start?  If it is Coin Up, then I don't see a Player 2 Start, which is bad.

Are there 4-way games that require 4 buttons?   Or is that for other gaming systems?

From personal experience I would shift your 4-way joy a bit to the left.  It is going to get whacked during trackball use.

Just my opinions.   Looks like you're well on your way.

Thanks! I wanted something simple but not just a plain black control panel.

Honestly, I have no idea why I need 4 buttons for the 4 way. I have seen it on every other panel so I thought I'd do it too. :)

The two white buttons on each end are the Player 1 and 2 start buttons. To insert coins I will make the shift - start perhaps? Ultimatly I will make it where you have to press the coin reject button or insert a coin to make it work. (See if I can get some change from my friends !)

Thanks for the input.... I have the 3 buttons there to use them as mouse input buttons + 1 extra for missle command.  Using the existing buttons may be a way to go, I'll look into it.

I was waiting for the 'G' button question.  I'm a Track and Fieldaholic. The main purpose of the 'G' button is for the second Run button, but I'll program it for lefties that want to play Galaga... etc.
