Looking for a good generic event sound set
« on: November 09, 2014, 01:15:15 pm »
Anyone have one? I don't like the default set much. I themed-out the cabinet for a Halloween party and it was great -- downloaded existing themes and did a little customization; added background music. Subtle, in-theme, and well-integrated with events and the context. I don't really want to go back to the old set of sounds now that know how good it could be. I know I can build my own set, but I was wondering if anyone already has a set that kicks butt. Thanks.

I should probably start working on Xmas now. :)

Welp... I stopped over at this Star Trek Next Gen sound site and put together a reasonable decent set of beeps and boops. It's still a little "in your face" but I can probably tone it down some with some work. I think it's probably a good idea to build a few sound sets so I can easily switch between 'em depending on mood.

You can make different layouts and use different sets of sound for each.
Greetings!

I had a sound set that I compiled using classic gaming sounds LONG LONG LONG ago.
I can look for it. I've always been meaning to post it here so customers could use it with the layouts.
You can do custom sets based around anything, some great sites exist with MK of SFII sounds.
But the one I did was classic based, some PACMAN and DK effects.
Anyway................I'll look and post if I can find it.

I also suggest people look into the Arcade Ambiance Project.... really cool.
