Gameroom Kickstarter updated based on feedback and launched
« on: October 15, 2014, 12:38:43 am »
Thanks everyone for their feedback before I launched the campaign.  It went live on 10/14 and we are already at over $6k!  Hooray!  I made a number of changes, though I do realize the turn key arcade is a bit outside of the spirit of this forum.  The custom arcade components however, may be relevant.  If you wanted to give analog pushbuttons a try, they are only $10 delivered and available in various colors.

I encourage you to please share the campaign with your friends, and thanks again! Here's the link:

I get the idea behing analogue pushbuttons, and they were AFAIK only ever used on the original Xbox and I think there was a version of street fighter with pressure-sensitive buttons. But without many/any games that support them, what was your inspiration for creating them? Is there something in your product that uses them to their potential?

Seems like the buttons could work out pretty cool for people that have spinners on their arcade and play a lot of racing games... the button could be a pretty awesome replacement for a pedal!  I don't know exactly how hard that would be to set up though.

So once again, we find that evil of the past seeps into the present like salad dressing through cheap wax paper, mixing memory and desire.
