is AimTrak the only way to go ?

is AimTrak gun the only way to go if you want to have a game where you shoot people in the pc .. ?
i mean .. in the video games you get to play with big guns as well.. as small guns... and the AimTrak is only in one machine as i remember..
are there no other cheaper alternatives ? that looks just as good or better ?

the think i saw is that you could.. (in theory)

and that's maybe the main thing about the gun...
and then just buy a toy replica of an m-4 or somthing

but how to you do the trigger ?
i mean , if you just take a toy m-4 or somthing like that,..
how do you do that the trigger will operate the shell.. ?

well the gun mine is in IS a light gun, so the trigger was obvious.  If you're going to try and put the guts in a non lightgun shell, then thats a whole other ball of wax.  Im sure you can email andy for any help.

I don't think extended playtime with an assault rifle style gun would be comfy, and it cuts down on the the ability to "John Woo" it.

The gun you linked above has *some* kind of electronic switch activated by the trigger.

yea i don't think i'll want that exact gun..
just really any kind of a realistic looking assault rifle that is in normal length... not too short that it won't feel like a toy ...

1 - Buy an electric airsoft rifle
2 - cut out all the electronics except the trigger
3 - install the aimtrack in it, connecting it to the existing trigger wiring
4 - drill some holes in the gun and add a few more buttons for good measure
5 - wire them up to the aimtrak
6 - add some weights inside the gun until it feels right. You can buy lead in a coil at any fishing store, just spool it around inside the gun and slop some hot glue on it to keep it moving around

1 - pay me a lot of money to do it for you

i think the gun you showed in here is graet !
i mean it has a scope and everything... and with a little paint help it could look the part...
not too realistic but realistic enough for the game...
you think though that i would be able to connect a recoil kit and the trigger to it ?

Open gun shell, install cherry switch to be hit by trigger pull, install aimtrak guts and done.  Have mine installed in sega house of the dead guns. works great.
