My Jukebox will be based off this box.

He used the following:
4X 6.5" DB6501 speakers at 100 Watts RMS
12" DB1240DVC at 360 Watts RMS to the Sub
5 channel Polk Audio PAD5000.5 series amp with a dedicated 100 amp DC power supply

You could and it will work but I really wouldn't recommend it.  I'm not sure what the expected minimum input is on those car speakers but I bet its probably more then the 6 watts the z506 offers you.  At least the Ohm's match. See below for specs of that logitech system.

Z506 speaker
Satellites: 2 x 6 watts (RMS) (into 4 ohms, @1kHz, @10% THD)
Subwoofer: 21 watts (RMS) (into 6 ohms, @100Hz, @10% THD)

Linked speakers
2 x car speaker - 6" x 9" - 3-way - 45 - 20000 Hz - 4 Ohm - wired  (Claim to be 600W RMS but some reports of 350RMS)

To run those speakers and to run them happily you would want something like the Logitech Z906's
Total watts (RMS): 500 watts
- Subwoofer: 165 watts (6 ohms, at 52 Hz, at 10% THD)
- Satellites: 335 watts RMS (5 x 67 watts per channel {4 ohms at 3.85kHz, at 10% THD

My Jukebox runs from a set of Logitechs very similar to your linked set and it sounds fine,  If I want more sound then I just switch over to the output to a separate house amp and speaekers which has 400W RMS and generally has the neighbours complaining.

If the 906's are out of your reach then see if you can find a set of z5400's I use those for my HTPC and they have plenty of power.

Hope that helps a bit.

I like the sound of the Z506 speakers, they are curved and would be too much work to cut into the cabinet and would be non standard holes if i ever had to replace them. I will look into Z906's price see if I can find a deal for them. I wanted to post a picture of the box to date but it won't allow me to upload pictures. When I do the post doesn't show.

I bought the Logitech Z906 and the car speakers above. It sounds great, only think is the LED eyes don't blink. I will try to figure that out later... Time to mount everything in the box...

not my bag, do your own thing...but...

the led's aren't blinking is because they hook the LED's up to the speaker terminals and run off the voltage produced when the speaker is being driven.

the 6 watts being supplied by the logitech system is likely not enough to accomplish this task. you probably need 2 or 3x more power to drive those hard enough to make the led's start to light up.

to fix it... while i don't know the specificity of the speakers construction... but i'm thinking maybe they have an inline resistor  for the LED. You could lower its rating to have them come on with lower voltage input. i wouldn't eliminate any inline resistor completely, as you'd like blow the amp in the logitech system due to the LED acting as a dead short.

the original logitech satellite speakers probably also have a crossover'd output driving them to keep from overdriving them. (they would have eliminated the low end frequencies) this could also be the reason the replacement speaker doesn't flash.
