NEW AND SHINY
« on: April 19, 2014, 07:58:17 pm »
how come whenever I get about 80% done with a project I start having all these Ideas about the next one? I start dreaming and tinkering about what I want to build instead of focusing on what needs to be completed in front of me. AM I THE ONLY ONE?

This is fairly normal.  Most of the fun is coming up with ideas.  It takes a lot of discipline to see a project through to the end, after the initial excitement wears off.

Yep, it is soooo much more fun for me to think up ideas and gather parts than to actually build or own something.... which is why all my projects take forever.  >:D
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

I'm really bad about this.  It does take a lot of discipline especially when a project gets to a point where you really need to grind it out.

I am bad about this too! I have one vert mame cab that is 99% done. Racing cab that is 60% and a video slot touchscreen cab that is 50%. I get them to the point they play, and Im stuck.
