Help naming game
« on: February 17, 2014, 01:30:17 pm »
First off sorry for the lack of information about to come. My brother and I were talking about a game we used to play but this is all we remember. It was a vertical 2 player shooter and we remember two power ups, one blue and one yellow, one was kind of a lighting fire and the other we cant remember at all. Any chance of a name?

lol sounds like a short conversation! Raiden would be my guess as well.

I would like to add that there is an awesome port of this for ios (iphone/ipad). Raiden Legacy. You get 4 different iterations of Raidien including Jet. The touch controls all most feel like a cheet, but the bonus is its a good way to get your young ones into smhumps. i taught mine how to use the bomb! on end enemies.

There was a golden age to shooters about there.. Tiger Heli, Twin Cobra, Raiden, Sky Shark.. not to mention some EXCELLENT Bullet Hell shooters.. Twin Cobra and Raiden where always favorites of mine.

also the  power-ups where green (concentrated dmg), blue (wide spread, low Dmg), yellow (large balls all directions? hated this one), or red (mix  spread and average dmg- also default fire type). I was a blue man. pick up red or Green right before boss if possible. So sad this dang age thing.. I could play Twin cobra till the end almost on a quarter.. now (ye! gods!) almost 40 years later.. making through the first boss is good game for me.
