Demonic -- Skull Jukebox
« on: February 09, 2014, 08:44:10 pm »
Hey folks, havent built anything in a couple of years, so thought I would try again. I am building a simple jukebox with a skull theme. I have already started so I will post pictures up to date. I am using a 7 inch USB display, a Tang Band 6.5 inch sub in a sealed .75 cubic foot sealed box, 4 Kicker 3 way 3.5 inch speakers, and will be running it on a mini itx mobo with sk jukebox. The number pad is an XK-24 backlit programmable key pad with 4 buttons removed and hidden. The pictures below are all just dry fits, no sanding or cleanup has been done at this point. The 4 diagnonal grooves in the face will hold LED runway lights that will pulse to the music. They eys of the skull will be red LED's, I plan on a flame paint job, but am not sure just yet, anyway, I only get to work on it on the weekends, so hopefully next weekend I will be able to update again.

The eys were quickly colored black just to show the depth where they had been routed out, the final color will be white, bloodshot lines and a red LED in each

Orginal, I like it.  Until I saw the Eyes done I thought the silhouette looked like Kang (Alien from simpsons).

Sorry havent posted any pics lately, but I was able to get some good work done this weekend. I was able to get all the bondo, sanding and got it primed for paint hopefully next weekend.

Hi Joey, I spotted this post a while back, I thought it looked amazing, just wondered how you were getting on with it, have you got any more pictures  for the forum.

Regards,
Chris.
