What's the game base support for the Ipad in terms of using something like an Icade?   Are there much titles that can benefit from having a Cab built for the tablets?

Works with Mame4all so all of the classics are playable,  The one I got just sits in the corner feeling all very lonely and unloved though.  :-\  The Icade that is, The Ipad itself gets way too much love and attention from the wife for my liking  >:D

Gridlee + iCade = awesome!

I downloaded it while it was in the app store early last year. With just touch controls it is fine for playing around, but the iCade totally transformed the experience. I took it a step further and picked up a VGA cable for my iPad. Gridlee's 640x480 support works great, and paired with the iCade the experience makes me forget I'm playing MAME on a tablet.

Also added an off switch to the iCade case, and replaced the microswitches for the buttons as they stock ones were pretty stiff.

I've had good luck with Gridlee when it comes to games, I have about about a 100 loaded up that run well on my iPad3. The caveat would be that I've had to use the speed hacks options occasionally for some late 90s games. An iPad4 is I believe around 50% faster, so that would probably be less of an issue.

The App Store version of Gridlee was based on Mame .139, but I've had good luck with the .149 rom set.
