My contribution...

I figured I would post my first (and only) bar top that I built over a year ago before I realized there was this website. It's certainly plain compared to some of the awesome projects that others have accomplished. I still like it. It's a simple design that I came up with as I went along. I built it around the 13" RGB monitor I had laying around and then threw in a 60-in-1 board. It plays nice and is actually comfortable. Too bad I already promised it to a friend as a partial trade for a 1969 AMC Javelin SST. I am currently building a DK bar top from a Haruman kit while I am deployed to Kuwait. Hopefully I will get it done soon. It's kind of hard finding the hardware and other necessary bits out here.

That looks great! You can't go wrong with simplicity, and it looks seamless! I'm honestly having trouble finding a 60-in-1 at the moment.

Excellent build!  I certainly appreciate the use of a CRT monitor.

Any pics of the build process?

Reminds me of those bartop gambling machines.

Throw a marquee sticker on that wide metal spot above the monitor, and I think you're golden.

I just picked up a 14" CRT TV with component in and I'm thinking the smaller CRT bartops looks better in the vertical orientation.

Agreed.  Maybe a mix of the CP colours with some of the art from the sides.

Looks like a cross between a bartop gambling machine and an old Vectrex. I also agree that a marquee sticker at the top would make it look even better than it is now.

The only thing I would change is the control panel overlay graphic, it doesn't fit with the rest of the cabinet. I do love the faux-wood side panels with the big stickers for the artwork though, that's an old-school classic look.
