MAME on a watch
« on: December 30, 2013, 10:00:04 pm »
Hi guys, thought I would share this YouTube video. The ZGPAX watch runs MAME beautifully. Not sure about the practical use but it will be a great start for a micro MAME cab.

Wish list: Galaga, Pacman, Pooyan, Star Wars cockpit, Gauntlet, Tron

And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.

Looks like an interesting gimmick.  I imagine the price of these will just get cheaper and cheaper too.

What a waste! Playing MAME on a watch? What they need to do is develop an emulator for the Tiger Watch games. Now that would make sense  :dunno

It'll be interesting to see how all these smart watches do.  I haven't felt a need to wear a watch since the instant I got a cell phone and that's been over 10 years ago.  I don't see too many kids wearing watches anymore and what watches I did see for sale this holiday season were much larger and flashier than you'd expect.  One never knows with fads, though....

Omg.

Its more evidence supporting my vision for the future. According to Moore's Law, by 2050, whatever will pass for a $1000 desktop will have the computing power of the entire human race combined. With all that incredible power at our fingertips, I will bet that there'll still b some pin head sitting in front of 1 playing Space Invaders. & as God is my witness, should I live that long, I WILL B THAT PIN HEAD!!

I could see someone using 2 of these one for each eye.  Then making a head set that holds the screens in front of your eyes.  You could in effect wear the screen everywhere you go.  depending on the size you may not need 2 screens.  One may do like Google Glass.
Careful what you wish for you may get it!!

+1, I haven't worn a watch since the calculator watch days in school.

Pica-pic kinda sucks though, it's in browser only,
