I wanna run a mame pc in conjunction with the silver strike bowling pc. There is a I/O board, but its not jamma. I would like to share the trackball and other buttons with my pc.  Any help would be great.

split the wires. send one set to the board and the other to the pc. should be fine as long as you dont run them both at the same time

Several relays or a multi-pole switch like an old parallel port printer switch would probably work.

Probably best to keep both systems on at the same time and just switch the buttons, button ground, and the four data lines (X1, X2, Y1, and Y2) from the trackball.

Also, how do you plan on switching the video? (not sure how well that will work with a relay or printer switch   :dunno)

Thanks for the replies guys. I took a shot by plugging in the I/O board into my mame pc. It used a generic usb hub for one, but couldn't find drivers for the other two. Kinda thought it wouldn't, but didnt hurt to try. When I did, the ssb threw a error code. I was thinking a dtdp switch, but I need one that can use 18 wires I have some that has 12 posts. Guess I could use two of them. For the video and audio, I have a kvm switch.

Thanks chopper, only problem is, this isnt jamma. I have seen other I/O boards that have jamma finger boards, but this one doesn't.
