Control panel material

I'm planning on making a new control panel.  Should I use 3/4" plywood or MDF?  Which material is easier to work with - is one more of the harder wood?

i always used particle board for my panels, until the last one i made i used MDF...and i loved it...it is so smooth and easy to cut, i highly recommend MDF

MDF will be the easiest to work with and the cheapest.

MDF is good stuff as long as you:

1. Make sure to use proper eye and breathing protection.

2. Remember that the dust gets *EVERYWHERE* -- work it outdoors with the garage door closed, if possible.
