How to fasten Cp top down?

How are you guys keeping the top of your control panel in place?

I've tried using these but they're not very good at all.

I tried to use those on a 3/4 scale cab that I built for my nephew and they released way too easy.
In that cab, the CP was open to the inside of the cab, so I just used L-brackets and screwed them in.

You can probably find something similar to the real clamps at the hardware store.

The CP top on my current build isn't fastened down yet and can't be accessed from inside.
I'd originally planned to put a hinge on the front edge and a latch on the back.
But since I love tinkering and fine tuning things, I'm leaning toward some type of slot system that allows it to be removed completely.
(It would have to be lifted straight up several inches to be removed.)

industrial velcro on my bartops.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Don't see any UK sources offhand.

Maybe a German source?

Arcadeshop.de has several latch options like this, this, and this.

What are the specific measurements/configuration of your panel?

It's the same as Griffindodds revolution cab here
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=121570.0

Same shape and angle, I don't have a hinge on mine. Also I don't have access to the inside when closed.

I went the simple route and simply glued a block of wood so I can screw into it from the side of the CP.  The screw head is black and really can't be seen.  With the cabinet built and configured, I have had to go into the guts of the CP twice.

I don't have access to the inside when closed.

Then latches might not be the way to go.

How would you engage/disengage them?

I couldn't tell from the small photo on the twisted quarter site how the latches work.

They're supposed to go on the inside, but I'm sure I've seen people here use then on the outside, provided there is enough lip on the top panel.

Hinges and gravity.  Three are two hinges at the back edge, and weather stripping foam around the top edge of the box to keep it from rattling, feels very solid
