can you source a 19" 4:3 or 5:4 monitor though?

otherwise looks okay. if you wanted less buttons or a different layout, you'd have to cut a new piece. I would have rather had that part left blank.

i dont see a grove or anthing to mount the marquee or monitor "glass" so that's another consideration.

it may be worth picking one up and even if you just use it for ideas to cut your own. (add a little here, cut a slot here, take a little there)

yes well he said he will leave the control panel blank for me. as im unsure whether i want a 1 player or 2 player cab. also i have a spare monitor, buttons and sticks so im good to go. im just awful at woodwork.

Honestly, there are only a few bartops i can think of that don't look cramped when having 2 players. If you primarily will be using it 1 player, think about just having a separate gamepad or joystick for player 2.

If I remember correctly that would be one of Tippers Bartops.  Button layout is fine, I would add a 2nd button on the front panel, 1 for coinup and 1 for start.  Sure you can use shifted buttons to do it but I like having 2 buttons.
