Ah, I know this from experience... Not in the UK anymore, but still "foreign" to America, so have to order everything I need... Largely; I can order and pay postage is it's not *too* bad if it's a big order, however if you can wait, and have a friend with a PO box in the US (or if you order a lot of stuff, it's worth setting one up) with forwarding to your UK address, you can still get some of the better prices.
Given my foreign orders this year; I think I'm going to have to set up my own PO Forwarding Box to NZ, if it's anything like over here, it's about sixty pounds a year, and you can get the cheaper (or often free) national shipping to your PO box, then pay a fee to get everything shipped in one go ... Longer wait, but depends on what you're ordering; I've used my friends a couple of times because there are some companies that just won't ship outside of continental US, the turnaround is usually about six weeks start to finish, so longer wait time, but worth it for those things you just can't get elsewhere!!
Hope this helps

and no, I've not been able to find those slot cutters outside of the US, very frustrating!! Someone might have them somewhere though, if you find them, would be keen, as I don't have one yet, but will need one at some point in the future, as refurbing the machine I have has given me the bug and the drive to try scratch building a machine when I have both time and room
