Picked up a couple more.

Found these two today. This is just a teaser pic, I will take better pictures later.

Got the Forgotten Worlds running already. The Turbo unfortunately boots to garbage.

Turbos roms may be corrupt...   But try cleaning and reseating all the connectors.  Ive heard the IDE cables go bad on it too.

 Great game.  Totally under-rated.

The Turbo definitely shows some corrosion signs inside inside. I reseated all the connectors and IDE cables to no effect. I think this is going to be the 4th Turbo I have owned. Not sure if it is going to be a keeper. Might be trade bait or be resold. It was a cheap add on to the Forgotten Worlds deal, I wouldn't have left the house for the Turbo by itself.

I can photograph the spinners, sure.

Forgotten Worlds has some novelty. I guess pushing down on the spinner = fire. Nice shape that cab is in.

Now that I replaced the sticks and got to play it, it is absolutely awesome and yes you do press down to fire.

Oops, I did it again.....

7 games, 1 changer, a few boxes of parts.

And it was all free. Although I did spend $200 in gas and it took me from 8 am until 10 pm to do the drive, load/strip, drive, unload dance.

Professor Pac-Man cabinet #203 is in there disguised as "New Game".

You don't want to know.

The entire load actually needs to go to new homes. I was the last guy to get the "OMG, game warehouse needs cleared out today" party and thus didn't end up pulling a single keeper except maybe an better cabinet for my unfinished multiwilliams project. I watched the last 2 nice complete games getting hoisted onto the back of a truck as I pulled in.

I think Professor Pac #203 is going to Germany, while I am fairly sure I can find a buyer for the defender cab since I already have most of the parts to deconvert it. The others, don't know. They will probably end up on craigslist with 19 in 1 boards in them or something.

I should post all the CL listings in my area so you all can laugh.... Not any deals at ALL!

And Paige gets these things for dirt cheap all the time....

I have to admit I'm pretty darn jealous.

The deals usually pop up on weekdays 100 miles from the city. I had to drive 300 miles each way on this one.

Where are you finding these deals?  I have use-it-or-lose-it vacation time I need to spend doing something useful.

That deal did come from the arcade-museum forums.

However most of my deals come from either answering craigslist ads, or from being called by friends who have a lead that needs to be acted on immediately.

...friends...

ah, that would be nice.  I'm far too abrasive nowadays to attract new friends.  Those with the social skills to have friends should be the ones with friends.

good day.

I'm from Joplin, used to go skating there as a kid.  If I had known before hand I still wouldn't have done ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- tho since it's a 12 hour drive one way now.  There is another cache there that I know about that I have my parents check on periodically whenever they're in town.  It's pin heavy and would probably be worth the trip if it ever pops open.

You should have seen the place, the wood floor was warped into huge waves, some almost 2 feet high, but still relatively smooth, like you could have still roller skated on it, and it would have actually been better.

Did they run a lot of bootleg games when you were a kid, because a lot of the stuff that got pulled out of there smelled bootleg. Several of the boards I found in the place were, and at least 2 of the cabs I brought smelled of bootleg games (generic overlays, new game marquee, etc).

Would've liked to have seen that floor.  Twas flat last time I skated there.  I'd say most of the rinks and bowling alleys around that area ran bootlegs.  There would be a few legit titles, usually environmentals or cockpit cabs, but by and large all the uprights were moody.  Same for the Carthage, Webb City, and Carl Junction area all close to Joplin.  Wonder if Four States Amusements or whatever they were called was responsible for most of them?

I got the changer working after a minor repair, which I am pretty proud of considering I have never touched a changer before and managed to fix it just off the error code sheet in 20 minutes without consulting the internet, and 10 of those minutes were waiting for the soldering iron to heat up. Still need to change the dip switch settings up a bit though, to set it to run on 2 hoppers (one hopper slot doesn't have a hopper in it) and change the signage to only show that it changes singles, as that 1981 validator isn't going to take the new $5 bills.
