Angled Control Panel
« on: March 13, 2013, 08:53:11 am »
I picked up a used Cab...the control panel is at an angle/sloped downwards as opposed to being flat - I didn't think it would be bothersome, but I think I would have preferred a flat layout CP instead.  This Cab used to be an original arcade machine....I don't recall any control panels that had a slope to it as mine.  Oh well, I'll have to see if I can mod it.

Can you throw up some Pic's, Maybe someone will have an idea of a fix for you.  Is it a severe angle,  A lot of machines have a slope to them although its not normally severe.  Its possible your machine has had a conversion at some point and was never designed with Joysticks in mind.

Here's a picture...hopefully, it's clear enough to show the angle.

Do you have a further pic showing the whole cab? Looks like the angle of a poker type machine.

good day.

It used to be an arcade machine - original coin door and the insides confirms it.  Not sure what I can do to fix it.

Well how to fix it is up to you, or post many more pics showing more of the details of how the panel and other bits are attached so that others could help you more. I'm converting a poker cab http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,130607.0.html and the panel was to small and sloped for my needs. I wanted defender depth/angle on the panel. Had to make new side panel mount pieces and pushed the bezel back 3 1/2" from its original position.

good day.
