the ultimate widescreen, what size LCD will fit in that? and can i fit an ITX pc in there as well?.

anyways, ultimate widescreen, japanese 8 button layout for sanwa/seimetsu buttons and jlf stick. 3 24mm utility buttons on the main panel, maybe upper right corner?, 1 player, centered controls. 3 extra 24mm utility buttons, and a hole for one of those USB port things  on the admin panel.  That should be fairly simple/doable yes?. please reply with info about LCD size, and whether an ITX motherboard and ATX power supply will fit down inside. Also, do i use sanwa/seimestu screwbuttons instead of snaps for this?

as for artwork, know anyone i can get ahold of to do art for your kits?

I can do that layout no problem. A 24" widescreen LCD will fit. The internal width is 23". Your pc components will fit too.

You'll want the screw in type buttons.

Malenko here on the forum is familiar with my kits and has made art for quite a few of my customers. I would contact him via pm.

sweet, thanks for the info, definitely gonna buy a kit from you now :D.  i noticed on your site you sell plexi sheets for the marquee and screen sections, are those easy to install or do additional modifications need to be made for all that? also, do you have smoked plexi? i'd love smoked plexi for the main screen cover area. Will be purchasing on the first, :D i havent decided whether to build an itx pc or just toss an alienware alpha in there yet, but it will def be something. any idea what cpu/gpu would be needed for good performance? would an i3 with intel graphics do it?

They are easy to install. The marquee installs with marquee retainers (also sold in shop). The bezel fits into a slot in the control panel shelf at the rear of the control panel.

I can get smoked plexi for the bezel.

As far as your pc question, I'm not the one to ask, but there are many here who could help. I tend to use old old pc's with old versions of MAME myself.

HaRuMaN,

Best kit for a 21.3" 4:3 lcd that also has enough room in the back for a standard atx de-cased pc?

- The lcd is 18.7" (W) x 15.0" (H) and would be used Horizontal/Landscape.

Oh and is there a 1 player 8 button + trackball option with any of the cabs (would it require a smaller trackball, like a 2" model, or still too deep)?

I find the trackball (as mouse) to be a great addition when using a pc.

Thank you!

So.  The best bet for that monitor would probably be my new Big Red kit (not yet in store).  It could handle your monitor, 1 player 8 button setup, and that 2" trackball.

Render:

Build (I've installed a Dell 2001FP in there.  20.1" 4:3):

Looks excellent and has a good bit of room for a bartop, when will that cab be available/price?

Also curious... what is approximate cost with full art/plexi/t-molding (just like your render) if available?

Thank You, your time is very much appreciated.

So, kit should come in around ~$160 based on the size.
Plexi: $40
Art printed: ~$80 (sides, laminated CPO, marquee)
Marquee retainers: $15
T-molding: $10
VESA Screws: $3
Shipping: ~$45 (fully insured FedEx Home)

I'm still futzing with mine, but I think it's ready.  Just need to write up the installation instructions.

hey haruman, i thought of another question, can you print and apply art to my cab if i supply the art, so i don't have to deal with it during assembly? or is that a bad idea? i would of course pay for it :P

awesome, thanks!.... and i keep thinking of more questions >.<.... i can't find a good source of information about trying to do LED lighting on a JLF stick and on sanwa/seimetsu screwbuttons, you wouldnt happen to know a place to shop and what parts i should be getting to make this happen would you? or anyone else, information would be greatly appreciated here. Trying to get all my ducks in a row so i can buy the right things to make this cab a reality, and theres just so much crap out there, and not nearly so much information to match it lol.

Right on.

In other news, been making updates to the midway cocktail design. Much better control box mounting now, with translucent plexi included for lighting the control area.

Dry fit, no glue:

I'll use my first post to say that I've been looking through this thread obsessively. There's no way I'm not going to order one of these in a week or so.

Keep up the good work!

Excellent, looking forward to it.   :applaud:

Aaaaaaand purchased. I have big plans for that minitendo.

And another view, dry fit, no glue. The mdf cp is just resting there. When installed the top will be parallel with the floor.

Amazon Prime has completely spoiled me. I can't remember the last time I waited longer than a week for something I ordered. I know You're going to be sending an awesome product and the wait will be totally worth it. 7 days down!

Lol. Yeah if I had my own cnc it would be faster... Unfortunately I don't have the 80 grand needed for the machine my guy uses... And you can't beat the precision. It's in the thousandths of an inch...

Or get in the pool and drink beer, and try not to drink so much that you drown by accident... Lol

I'm still interested in seeing one (maybe more... just think 8 bartops linked for Daytona USA.. cause that's what I'm thinking..) of these with a steering wheel...   I actually purchased a Happ wheel the other day with the UGCI board in case I can get something happening...

planning on getting a Galaga bartop in the meantime soon...
