Help Wiring Coindoor (couldn't find anything on this)
« on: February 18, 2013, 06:23:52 am »
Okay, so I bought the Happ Over-Under Coindoor from happcontrols:

http://na.suzohapp.com/coindoors/40051200.htm

As well as the Plastic Coin Switch Plate Mech Holder (42-3286-00, no link on site to item) and the .250" Crouzet Coin Switch (42-7087-00, from this link:  http://na.suzohapp.com/accessories/42107500.htm )

My Coin mech is 42-3054-00 also from happcontrols:

http://na.suzohapp.com/coindoors/42303900.htm

Alright, so I figured out how to get the coin mech into the coin door so that it accepts canadian quarters when you put it in the slot, and that works.  I cannot figure out how these other three items form like voltron so that when the coin passes down the bottom, the actuating arm of the coin switch triggers a signal.  There doesn't seem to be anywhere I can screw this coin switch on so that the arm is anywhere near where the coin passes.  I notice it does pass through two metal arms that are coiled and hinged onto the assembly (one on the coindoor itself and one on the coin mech) but when the coin passes through and those arms kick up, there doesn't seem to be enough travel to make the coin switch arm register, no matter where I place it or how I bend it.  Have I bought the wrong parts?  Happ's website pointed me to these and said "these work together" but then didn't go ahead and tell me how.

Double check your coin door as I have a similar door from Happ and the switches were already on the door.  The attached photo is not exactly the same but does a good job of illustrating the switch.
