Looking for Hyperspin Harddrive/Computer
« on: February 14, 2013, 09:42:43 am »
I been attempting to set up Hyperspin for a couple months and it seems like everytime I get somewhere I get stuck. I am damn frusterated at this point, I would rather buy a complete set either on a harddrive or just buying a pc that can handle up to PS1/N64. Anyone have one at a reasonable price?

Looking for Mame, Nes, Snes, Sega, N64, PS1, and possibly dreamcast..

If anyone has a setup for free, I don't care if not Hyperspin, I just want to play some games at this point and introduce my finished cab to this site..

Let me know if someone can help
You may e-mail me at KeithPuetz@gmail.com if I am not on this site and replying. If you email me it will get my attention and I will be on the site right away. Thank you guys.

how about asking questions about setting it up yourself? I mean it really isn't that terribly difficult. What problems are you having exactly?

You can't ask for this kind of stuff here, Keith.

I dont see why he cant get a PC with the emulators config'ed for hyperspin, so long as the ROMs arent included.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I'll trade you a Hyperspin setup (minus roms) for your Wacko.

Have you tried Maximus Arcade instead of Hyperspin? I haven't tried Hyperspin myself, but as a noob I can tell that Maximus Arcade is ridiculously easy to set up. The downside is that it's $25 after the 30-day trial, and it is not currently in active development.

Another option, if you're a member, is to download the prebuilt sets off of <link deleted by haruman>  There is still some tweaking you need to do but all the files are already in place along with the emulators.  If you need an invite (the site is by invitation only) just let me know... As long as you have some kind of character reference that shows you won't leach and leave.

<edit: go read the rules>

The stuff that I've seen out there on -- is seriously outdated.  If you want to get the thing running just read... it seriously isn't that difficult.  Basically all the errors I have encountered are well documented and solved already.

I hate to tell you this but you need to figure out how Hyperspin works, That means you might as well set it all up yourself.  Its straightforward enough. If you want to do it really quickly just become a platinum member and use Hypersync.

I already found a solution. Thank you though.
Wacko is up for grabs if you want it though. It will be available once I locate the keys for it that my 2 year old son lost.
I will sell it you for what I paid $250, if you promise to take care of it.
Thats a BYOAC exclusive price!  ;D

You are aware the PCB needs to be cleaned or replaced though, right?
I think it's a fair deal.

Use Maximus Arcade.  The bells and whistles of Hyperspin are not worth the trouble imo.

Make a custom layout in Maximus, get a bunch of gamevideo clips for the MAME stuff.  Jpeg pictures for everything else and be done with it.  Do you really need sonic floating on the screen waging his finger

 ???

Just double-checked the rules and I don't see where any were broken by my post.  My understanding is that the Hyperspin files listed there were done so by permission of the Hyperspin and emu-movies admins, the hyperspin executable itself isn't even included, just a note saying to go register on hyperspin-fe and download it.  If you're basing your accusations on the fact that other files there are against the rules here, then I'm sorry but you make about as much sense as the RIAA/MPAA...  None of the content that I directed him to breaks the law in any way as far as I understand.

Rule #5
Quote
5. Nothing illegal! Do I even need to explain this one? Need a ROM to repair an arcade board you own? Fine to talk about. Need a ROM to complete your MAME collection? Don't bother to post here. If someone posts such a request, please don't answer it -- no direct answers, no hints, no private messages.

Apparently you didn't double check good enough. The site you referred to OP to is a ratio torrent site that contains ROMs. You not only gave the OP a direct link (pretty much) but an open invitation to the site. We all know this stuff happens, keep it off the ---smurfing--- forum.
