Very small update.  I decided that the noise from the 2 fans in the machine was too much.  I could of course remove 1 of them or install some resistors to slow them down. Instead I decided to just order in some new fans.  This time I am colour co-ordinating and going with red fans that have the ability to change the speed by adjusting a built in screw.

And another tiny update,  Glass has arrived and I will be collecting it tonight.  The replacement Dingleberry has arrived from Ultimarc, Installed this and 4-8 way all working as it should.  I also figured out why in 8 way mode it would stick,  I needed 1mm additional clearance at the bottom  of the panel. I added some weather stripping to my control panel supports and perfecto.  (I will most likely adjust the supports up a bit.

So for now all I have left to do is.

Swap out Fans
Install Glass
Adjust CP Supports
Install Feet
Tidy the Wiring up.

On a side note, I spent a day over the weekend sorting out a Racing wheel setup using a spare Dual Core unit connected to my 40".  Due to using older equipment I was limited to using XP32 with Service Pack 2 & DX9.  This means newer emulators will not be possible as they are moving onto newer versions of DX but everything I have thrown at it so far works pretty good.   There are plenty of PC Racers to go with Model 2 emulation and Mame to keep me happy.   I just have to build some kind of stand for the steering wheels as the workbench I am currently using is about 12" too High for comfortable extended play.

I can't see myself making a full sized cabinet for driving games. It will more likely be some kind of foldable unit that the wheel's/Pedals attach to. I can see myself making a virtual Pinball though. Then I would have the set Arcade,Pinball,Driving,Jukebox.  The only issue with any of it is that I think the wifes going to kill me if I try to squeeze anything else into the room I have (15ft Long by 9Ft wide by 9Ft High) Mind you looking at it If I replace the 2 chest freezers with 1 Big upright that would buy me room for another Item  :laugh2: :laugh2:

Hi Nic,

You got your t-molding and slot cutter (with arbour?) from t-molding.com I believe - how were they. It took ages to arrive didn't it, but got there in the end and the slot cutter and t-molding are all good?

Don't know why I'm even looking yet, it'll be ages before I'm installing t-molding, but the research part is easy to do at work, the sawing less so!

Yep, I ordered it all together from t-molding.com  It did take a while to arrive but I think that had more to do with Royal Mail then anything else   Hey if you order it now by the time it arrives you should be ready for it.

T-mold and slot cutter are excellent quality.  Just remember to put the slot cutter on the arbour the right way up  >:D

I really must finish my machine off.  All I need to do now is pull the control panel and rout a new Plexipanel for it.  The glass is fitted the fans have been swapped out,  the CP has been adjusted.  Unfortunately I have mostly been playing games on it and getting distracted by the racing setup I have been configuring. Oh well them's the breaks.  I also just picked up a 21" Monitor so am thinking of building a full sized upright now that the weather is improving.  Unfortunately the wife won't let me do that until I get a shed built and get rid of some junk out the house  :laugh2: :laugh2:
