Fusion exit back to mala fe (no keyboard)
« on: January 08, 2013, 08:37:28 pm »
Hello,

After a bit of help with my current cab.

Any ideas in how to map the esc key to a cab button for exiting the fusion emu?

Any help will be massively appreciated.

Thanks

Check out this thread.  If I remember right the command line they talk about in here is how I did mine.  Been a little while since I did mine. If it doesn't work j will check out mine tomorrow afternoon and see what I did.   You could try auto hot key also

Thanks for the quick response, I've been through this thread already though.

I can get the fusion emu to exit to mala with the esc button, but I'm unable to map the esc button to a joystick control button on my cab, like I've done for mame and zsnes .

Then you need to download auto hot key.   That should let you press any set of buttons and have that translate to what ever you want it to be.  In this case esc!

I set the hot key for close in Mala to Q then used joy2key to make a button press send a Q.

I believe for my Fusion does exit (close) upon ESC.
If I can recall I use the feature in MaLa to set it as such.
However off memory, I think before I've got a notification of sort saying "Fusion still running."
I'll try and look for you tonight and let you know for sure.

I keep telling myself that I am going to take one of the spare PC's I have in the house install MAME & Mala.
Then one by one (which I've never done before, I jump the gun) install each emulator I want.
Install it and configure from start to finish the way I want. Making note of what changes I did, be it ESC, fullscreen, joystick configureation, etc.

I'm always taking these PC's and getting them ready for builds, projects for sale, etc. And all be it it does get a lil faster each time. Having a nice documented journal (of sorts) that records the changes I make would be well worth it.

Sorry to hi-jack.....just wanted to toss in my 2 cents.

I second that. AHK will solve this. If you have a mouse working then Fusion will accept right mouse click for menu, then exit. Crude, but I use it for save/load and cheat files.
