Okay, lots of great research and info on the FIFJr today. I even got the oppourtunity to talk with one of the operators who worked on the game at DisneyQuest.
So, first off: yes, Felix does move to his right when he's on the far left and the fix button is pressed. He faces left on the very edge of the windowsill until you hit the Fix button and then he does his fix animation while facing the right. The opposite is true for the right side building as well (Felix faces right on far right of the right window, fix animation goes left).
When Felix jumps with the jump button, he jumps until he reaches the middle of the lower window pane of the window above him. I'll draw a picture to show this, since it's kinda hard to explain.
Felix jumps up to the second and third parts of the building from off-screen. He always starts on the bottom right window and just simply jumps straight up into view. Meanwhile, he runs into the level from off-screen on the right and jumps onto the bottom right window at the game start.
When Felix runs from window to window, he runs and jumps at the same time, only really moving around 2-3 pixels up in height, moving in an arching motion. He stands only on the edges of windowsills (except during the game starts and respawns) and a single tap any direction will make Felix move to another window, no matter how light the tap.
That's all I can remember for now. I also got the high score on the machine, so I got to see for the first time, the HIGH SCORE ENTRY SCREEN, along with NEW MUSIC!! I recorded that as well and I'll recreate it in FL Studio shortly
I got in touch with one of the operators at DisneyQuest and he told me that the FIFJr computers are running off of Windows XP. They had some RAM issues in the beginning but they fixed that. Sadly, there is a security key on the computer. AND, he also told me that if one of the computer's hard drives fail, they have to contact Disney directly to get a new hard drive...they have NO backups locally. While talking to him, he even made it sound like the game itself was being emulated. I even asked him if Disney were going to released the ROM and he said the only way to get it is if someone buys a machine and they leak the copy on the internet. I'm really hoping one of the very lucky few who are out there with their own machine or whoever wins the FIFJr sweepstakes gets to do that for us. </wishful thinking> lol BUT, that's why we have Sjaak, who's making this awesome emulation for all of us!!
