There is one of those Samsungs on ebay but there are some "blemishes" on the screen.  It's tough to tell if they are a big deal or not.  I'm sticking with my current screen for now.

Got my control panel from Yaksplat yesterday.  First thing I did was make a backup, of course:

I actually picked up an old Sony 24" TV from CL the other day but after I got it home and started reading up on how to best connect to it, I realized that it doesn't have RGB inputs -- only S-Video and RCA composite.   :banghead:   I'll find something I can use eventually, but right now I have to keep plowing ahead.  I'm hoping *fingers crossed* that I can get it into a playable state for my son's birthday party this weekend.  Not sure if I'll make it, though.  Still have a ton of work left.

Love the artwork - TOP NOTCH!!
not sure about the blue t-molding...don't get me wrong it looks downright sexy.  I was thinking red would have more "pop".
I'm sure there are transcoders you can buy to use with your sony tv....they make those little vga to s-video/composite converter boxes.  It might work out.  Since the real arcade used rgb to composite converters it would probably look more authentic.  Either way you can't go wrong.

Love the design and love the artwork...will be following.

Thanks, guys.  Small update:  got the CP together & working.  Still to do: wire up various LEDs & other lights & get that all working with Blinky or whatnot (haven't even begun to look at how that all works yet).

Very well done!

I am in the build process now, and I really love the marquee you have.  Would you be willing to share a hi-res version?  The only one shown on this page doesn't scale well.

Thanks!
