White Galaga
« on: November 17, 2012, 09:46:05 pm »
I'm tracking that original Galaga's are black except for the white Jap Galagas (different manu) and the Bosconian refurbs which are white sided.  Was there ever a production Galaga with a white front as pictured in the flyer?  I think it's pretty cool looking myself.

Another question:  What is the general opinion on the white sided Galaga?  I grew up on a white sided so that was "right" to me but I understand most don't feel the same way.

A third:  Does anyone have a image of the Bosconian sideart?  Also I can't recall how much of the Bosconian was visible through the Galaga side art so any advice about that would be great too.  Let's say that somebody was totally off their rocker and wanted to reproduce a white sided Galaga and that somebody thought, what the hell, let's put Bosco art under it to make it super legit, what would you tell that person?

I'd tell them 'Why waste your money on the Bosconian art?'

Money for art isn't a factor at 1:6 scale

and finish the new republic flight trainer...

I just got a new drill press so I can machine some of the parts I need - I'm getting after it I promise.

Does anyone have a image of the Bosconian sideart?

This e-bay listing has some decent photos if you can correct for perspective.

Here and here are some other shots.

If those don't work, can you extract the art from Gozer's sketchup model?
