I'd like to have 2 controllers available for use with console games.
I bought a really inexpensive dual playstation-to-usb adapter on ebay (just because I had a spare playstation controller kicking around), and it bites. There's a bit of a delay when before a button press is recognized, you can't rapidly tap a button (tops out at about 2 presses/second) and quick presses just don't work (there seems to be a minimum button press time before it's recognized). Ugh. Like I said, though, it was cheap. I wasn't really expecting it to work, anyway, just thought it was worth a gamble.
Moving right along, I've now gotten very attached to having console games and controllers available for my cabinet. I'm really not comfortable building my own adapter, unfortunately :/
My options now, I think (ordered by what I'd prefer, ideally):
Buy 1 n64 controller (I already have one) and adapters (don't know if there's an adapter that'll take two controllers, or if I just have to buy two. I think this would be preferable, I don't have small hands, and I know the controllers are comfortable already.
Buy 2 SNES controllers and adapters
Stick with playstation and get a levelsix adapter instead of my no-name one, and get a pair of these:

(they match my cabinet!). Am I going to have trouble with 3rd party controllers?
PC gamepads: Gravis or sidewinder or something. These are probably the safest bet in that they'll likely work without much, if any fuss, but I've never held one and don't know if I'd like them :/
Anyway, lots of stuff. Suggestions, tips, etc. would be much appreciated. Looking for stuff like recommended adapters, commentary and so on. Money is an issue right now, tho. I can't spend $50 on the whole setup (controllers, adapters). Thanks for looking, and thanks in advance
