Damn cool!  I wish I had the room for all that stuff.  And I wish I had all that stuff. Very, very nice - I am jealous.   :applaud:

Now a question:  I see a few Ultra games in Komani boxes (TMNT II, Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge). I assume those are PAL releases and you're based somewhere in Europe?

I never realized Konami's "Ultra label" was US only for that five-game-per-year workaround.  Those silver Konami boxes were always so sleek - unless the crappy Ultra black messes.

Sweet collection!
I'd really like to seem more pics of the various consoles and games you have when you have time.  The Kiosks are a really cool way to display everything.

That is too badass. The NES has been my favorite since I was 8.

One hell of a collection. Cool set up, too. Kind of like a museum of nerdy good times.

Thank you. It started when I was also 8 years old too. The first NES was pretty cool back in the days

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'd punch a baby right in the face for that World of Nintendo display.  It's gotta be kiosk envy.  ;)

I've gotta ask.  Where do you run across this stuff?  Ebay?  I was more curious about the modern stuff... it seems like you'd have to run a store or something to get it.

Wow!  I'm REALLY interested in reading more about your custom M82, as I've been knocking that idea around for quite a while!  Please do a log with lots of pics, so some of us can (attempt to) follow along.  BTW - AMAZING COLLECTION!  :notworthy:

Yes, ebay and local sites also from other game collectors , some of them stopped with collecting. The next gen consoles comes from a store which stopped their business, that's right. I used to had a very special WON display one with a NES and GB Demo kiosk built in, but I sold this. I needed the space and I doubled my money

Okay I will start a new post for you about the progress of my m82 cabinet looki, but it's not going to be 100% the same. Because I want to make it my own. ;)

Impressive collection.  Love the NES stuff.
There's a store in my neighborhood that has some displays like this, very nostalgic.

Though I can't get excited about console kiosks, that cart shelf is pretty rad.

Nice collection, not enough arcade machines IMO. :D

I wish

It would be nice to store all those cars and disc boxes.  I just cleaned out all 240 Xbox 360 and PS3 games boxes and put the games into CD folders, which does save a bunch of room for more gear.  Looking at that picture reminds me why we have hard drives in our hobby and not that cluttered mess.

IMO A hard drive full of files (or a folder full of discs) is not nearly as fun as a nice display of carts and packages. Yeah, clutter is a bit of a problem but I've seen large collections stored and displayed nicely. But I suppose it's the collector's priorities if they prefer simply having the game or if they want something they can display and look at when not playing it. I'm more of the latter.

I imagine you saved your cases if you ever want to trade/resell? Maybe I'm alone on this or maybe there are others that feel the same way, but I generally won't purchase a disc-based game that's not in its case. I make some exception depending on age (those old Sega CD/Sega Saturn/early Playstation tall jewel cases were notoriously fragile), rarity, or if they're purchased from a store with a return policy - but even then I'm not shelling out much more than bottom-dollar.  In the back of my mind, I'm assuming they were stored improperly seeing as a case that's designed to be saved and utilized went missing.

Absolutely.

I don't sell my games, where my friends do after they complete them.  I know that the game is worth more to me considering the cost of each game, the circumstances getting them, etc.

Unfortunately with each house move I need to prioritize my collection but I have games dating back from the early 80's but do not have the hardware to run it on.  If you have the room and you don't ever move, it would be awesome to have such a collection.  I don't sell my collections but part with them to my mates (who sell them later) thinking they are going to a good home.

Yet old collections on the hard drive does makes sense if you do not have reliable hardware to play the originals on.  360 and PS3 disc boxes are easily available, and when the time comes to have a display case, they can be replaced as I have all the inserts, but again it comes down to space which most of us are "allowed" to have.  ;D Carts are harder and tend to be in boxes stored in the garage.

It is clutter (arrived at through years of mental conditioning) unless you are a bachelor and can get away with such behaviour  :lol.
