Peace negotiations...
« on: June 13, 2012, 10:25:33 am »
I was in the middle of conversation with Saint, so I believe this last time I was killed it was by mistake. Please other moderators let Saint deal with this so if I get banned I know it was not mistake. I mean, it's not like my few printed words can hurt anyone, so again please ease up on your triggers. And, do you know it hurts? Yes it does! Every time you kill me you take away another piece of my heart.  :'(

People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along? Can we get along? Can we stop making it, making it horrible for older people and the kids? It’s just not right. It’s not right. It’s not, it’s not going to change anything. We’ll, we’ll get our justice... Please, we can get along here. We all can get along. I mean, we’re all stuck here for a while. Let’s try to work it out. Let’s try to beat it. Let’s try to beat it. Let’s try to work it out.

@HaRuMaN

Ok, glad to see you're not upset. Can't send PM. So, that Android post was made by some kind of Robot? Pun! -- It was not me, but I am here to talk about Android devices and how can they be used in arcade cabinets, so I thought that thread was appropriate as any to begin the discussion.

@Malenko, Chef... guys, this is not personal, please don't take it so. I don't care who says what, I only look at words and their meaning. I will hate you for your insults in one post, but I'll love you for your information in another. I may think you do some things the wrong way, but I thank you for inspiration and all the things that you did do the right way.

Please, this is just internet, no animal or human blood gets spilt here, take it more lightly and you ought to have more fun. My only agenda is to make better MAME. It's not fun making things for myself, there is no reward. I need other people to justify those efforts, I need you guys so we can play together and have fun. For the love of drugs don't you get it, I am your friend, albeit crazier than others, but still... when you smile, I smile!

You say that now, but we remember how you went postal when challenged on what you considered to be immutable (but wrong) truths  ... 60-in-1s, parallel ports, custom controller code ...

Some of us still have inboxes full of spam PM's sent from M.Batao, Babboo and other of your multiple personalities in which you rip on this place and the people here.

You did the same on MW (where, IIRC, they linked your various proxies to attempts to hack accounts ... that was coincident with a bunch of attempts to reset user passwords here ... including minel).

Then you moved to Usenet and trashed people there.

Hell, KLOV implemented the "$2 donation in order to post" scheme to stop you and your 100 personalities from further frakking up the boards.

So, what exactly has changed that we should forgive your past bad behaviours ?

Really, what has changed ?

People argue their opinions every day, that's what forums are for. I don't understand what's your complaint about. If you want to think serial data transfer is faster than parallel that's fine by me, it's just common knowledge that's not true. If you want to think 60-in-1 are illegal while in the same time being legally sold everywhere and bought by everyone, that's fine too. I only wanted to tell you there is a difference between "allegedly violating copyright" and the item actually being proclaimed "illegal", for which there first needs to be a court trial. To me the argument was semantic, you should use proper words unless you wish to confuse and scare people, especially if you yourself own one of these boards.

I told Haze and MAME developers about MAME being sold on Android market:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrioni.jarcade

See if they care or can do anything about it. So please stop fighting someone else's imaginary war, it's absurd.

That's all I have to say about past arguments, who cares can confirm what I said on the internet and in textbooks.

I wish there was another way, and I wish I knew why any of that upsets you. Everyone else forgot about it as soon as they clicked "delete" button. But anyway, I am now asking you if you can forgive me. So will you forgive me, please?

I have forgiven you. My behavior was response to "your" behavior. You people have created me, so you should embrace me. Don't you see, I'm your child. So love me, I tell you! -- Seriously though, what has really changed is that I have my own MAME build now, and more importantly it runs on Android. I believe there should be many people here interested in it, sooner or later, and I am here for those people, to help them set it up in their cabinets and fix bugs on their particular devices, and in return we all get better MAME. Do you have Android phone or tablet, have you tried it yet?

How many times have you been banned from an arcade-related forum in the last month ?

3 times that I can think of, so it seems that other people remember as well.

You have made absolutely no efforts to atone nor apologize for truly despicable behaviour.

You actually have the nerve to blame that behaviour on everybody else ... or is it just me that you blame ?

Ok, so Saint is willing to give me another chance. Thank you. I believe it's for two reasons, that he realizes I'm not so bad once you get to know me, and more importantly I think he sees the potential of Android devices and what kind of impact will that have on the future. -- Before I start the thread about Android devices,MAME and arcade cabinets I'd like to smooth out the things of the past in this thread here first, so people don't go to the technical discussion just to jump on my back because of some personal or emotional reasons. And if no one is interested in that discussion then please just let it die and I will be gone.

So... the past. Do you people even know what actually happened? Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems, in a place perhaps you've seen in your dreams. For the story you're about to be told began with the holiday worlds of auld. Now you've probably wondered where holidays come from? If you haven't, I'd say it's time you begun...

On the first day of October 2010 Xiaou character posts this message on MAMEworld forum:
- "720... What IS Really Insulting, is that it CANT be played the way it was designed."

And Derrick Renaud had this to say about it:
- "Still waiting for xiaou2 to send me $50,000 to work on the input system for him."

Now, if you search MAMEworld and this forum you can see that was not the first time poor Xiaou was crying about 720 Degrees controller, and every time Derrick laughed at him. They spent months talking and arguing about it, about something that could have been done in 15 minutes! Well, fuk me, but I was not gonna stand still. I knew I could do it, I knew I had that power, and so I felt the responsibility, you know? Yeah, I'm flattering myself, and I'm aware that makes some people hate me, but I seriously don't like injustice and I believe there is a lot of universal truth said through the comic books and movies, so I just like to use that allegory whenever there is something "universal" I wish to express.

Anyway, the key moment in the whole story is when Xiaou sided with Derrick. What?! Yes, that's what he did, despite all their past and mocking. Not only that, Xiaou then started puking over my code that I made just for him, without ever even trying it out. Ay, caramba! That was unexpected. Until then I was just killing my boredom, but that's what really pissed me off.

So basically you can all thank to Xiaou for his ignorance and lack of integrity that you had to endure my craziness in its shiny colors. And there is the goblin to this day talking about the things he does not understand, fooling himself and lying to others, but at least Derrick is gone. MAMEworld screwed themselves, everyone got banned so only dozen people are still left on that forum, and three of them are just me, ha! Haze too seem pretty irrelevant now, and that's it. I don't really know what's the deal other people have with this whole story, I don't have any beef with anyone else. It's just that some of you guys were standing in the way of justice, the way I see it, so I am sorry if anyone took it personally, I didn't. And, when was the last time you had so much fun on the internet?!

Sorry, I am not gonna pin your behaviour on Xiaou2. If you are getting another chance, making your first action as blaming another member here is not a good way to make use of your clean slate. I never directly talked to you, yet I still got spammed by you. It wasn't the actual PMs that irritated me, it was that you were trying to push me into your problems. If you are trying to set things right, own up, take full responsibility, apologize; Cheffo's spot on about this.

Chef, your complaints have nothing to do with you.

You truly do remain clueless as to what you did ... and by that I am specifically talking about your childish spamming and rampant badmouthing, which apparently you thought was the right thing to do.

In any event, I now have an answer to my question -- absolutely nothing has changed.

Ok, so Saint is willing to give me another chance

That remains to be seen, based on your willingness to follow the rules of decorum on the forum and as specifically mentioned, not being condescending to people. I am in training this week so have been in lurk mode before I pay attention to this, but I am somewhat dubious at this point as I watch this thread. I remain willing to be convinced that you wish and are capable of being a productive and rule-abiding member of this forum.

To be clear, particularly based on your past here and elsewhere, you need to be on your best behavior. I don't and won't have any tolerance for a condescending tone. I am willing to continue to exercise my ban finger, it is no great hardship.

I just told them what anyone from this forum with some balls would tell them about 60-in-1.

Why don't _you tell your friends over at KLOV how 60-in-1 are illegal and inferior to even 10 years old PC?

Don't you feel sorry for them, don't you think they should know?

You never asked about WHICH time he was glad that you were banned. You weren't banned for what you claim -- that was just when they figured out that it was another of your personalities and reinstated your previous ban (for the bad behaviour I have previously mentioned).

Your revisionist versions of things are simultaneously amusing and annoying.

You got banned at KLOV (and I feel safe to say you will soon be banned here again) because you post some stupid, stupid, STUPID ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow--- in the guise of some dramatic persona, and it gets tiresome very quickly. So much so that if you truly did anything revolutionary or useful, chances are you'd be dismissed because of your history not just here, but everywhere. For the love of drugs, I wish you'd just STFU.

Why don't _you tell your friends over at KLOV how 60-in-1 are illegal and inferior to even 10 years old PC?

Because, unlike you, they know EXACTLY what a 60-in-1 is.

I don't think you understand that the reason you keep getting banned everywhere is that after people who actually know things (about 60-in-1, controller interfaces, etc.) correct you, you throw temper tantrums and then do anything you can to disturb what are normally cool places to hang out.

That is why people hate you ... because you throw a ---smurfing--- loud and annoying fit every time somebody disagrees with you.

The fact that people disagree with you because you are generally wrong is not why people hate you.

Every time I read an Oraap/Driverman post I feel like I should take a shower. There are people on this forum I disagree with, but it seems like O/D is just trolling the community- his tone is really weird. Just my 25 cents.
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

Before anything happens to my present avatar, I'd like to say I will not come again to spam this forum. Maybe only to give you some updates. Thank you Saint, and moderators, for having the patience and enough reason to cope with me and my craziness. I appreciate the opportunity you have given me to speak freely about Android devices. Thank you.

- "You do not truly know someone until you fight them."

I'd like to end my presence in this thread with some quotes, of course, but this time from Greek mythology, which I love, and if you like it too, or maybe just love God of War, then this might fill up some gaps they have missed to mention in the games...

- Eris in Greek mythology, the Greek goddess of discord, quarrel, strife and conflict. Sometimes equated with the war goddess Enyo, her name translates into Latin as Discordia. The solar system's largest known dwarf planet, is named after this goddess.

Quote
So, after all, there was not one kind of Strife alone, but all over the earth there are two. As for the one, a man would praise her when he came to understand her; but the other is blameworthy: and they are wholly different in nature. For one fosters evil war and battle, being cruel: her no man loves; but perforce, through the will of the deathless gods, men pay harsh Strife her honour due.

But the other is the elder daughter of dark Night (Nyx), and the son of Cronus who sits above and dwells in the aether, set her in the roots of the earth: and she is far kinder to men. She stirs up even the shiftless to toil; for a man grows eager to work when he considers his neighbour, a rich man who hastens to plough and plant and put his house in good order; and neighbour vies with his neighbour as he hurries after wealth. This Strife is wholesome for men. And potter is angry with potter, and craftsman with craftsman, and beggar is jealous of beggar, and minstrel of minstrel.

- Harmonia in Greek mythology, the immortal goddess of harmony and concord, corresponding to the Roman goddess Concordia, daughter of Ares and Aphrodite (War & Love), rationalized as closely allied to Aphrodite Pandemos - the love that unites all people, the personification of order and civic unity. Harmonia is renowned in ancient story chiefly on account of the fatal necklace she received on her wedding day. The necklace had wrought mischief to all who had been in possession of it, and it continues to do so...

- Chaos or Khaos in Greek mythology, the original state of existence, the 'Womb of Darkness' from which the Cosmic Egg that contained the Universe emerged, nothingness out of which the first gods appeared. These first beings were Gaia (Earth), Tartarus (Underworld), Nyx (Night) and her brothers Erebus (Shadow) and Eros (Sexual Love).

- Chronos in Greek mythology, is said to be the personification of time. His name actually means 'time' and is alternatively spelled Khronos or Chronus. He was depicted as a man turning the Zodiac Wheel, sometimes named Aeon (Eternal Time). He and his consort, serpentine Ananke (Inevitability), circled the primal Cosmic Egg in their coils and split it apart to form the ordered Universe.

- Ananke in Greek mythology, was the personification of destiny, necessity and fate, depicted as holding a spindle. She marks the beginning of the cosmos along with Chronos. She was seen as the most powerful dictator of all fate and circumstance which meant that the other Gods had to give her respect and pay homage as well as the mortals.

In Roman mythology, she was called Necessitas (Necessity).

So, they thought the God of the Gods, Goddess of them all, was "necessity"! Isn't it beautiful? So human. You can feel the emotion in the word itself. Of course we understand Greek (Roman) mythology is not about gods, old chumps were wiser and more poetic than that. It's about humans, about human attributes - "rulers of human nature". -- It took me some time to summarize that info above from various sources, so I hope that was enjoyable read. Humans and emotions, they go together, and often humans obey their emotions, as if they were their gods. It doesn't have to be so, but if you can not command, then you must obey. In other words - don't lose nerves in stupid internet arguments, cheer up!

You made me break my promise and come here, but I didn't want to make any more drama over there. Priorities. Uh, Chef?!

Quote from: Chef
Here's the thing ... folks like you, TranqHairUmmon and Genesim seem to think that the experiences that we recreate are without meaning and you dismiss us out of hand without any understanding of what you are talking about.

And, the 3 of you often talk about things where you are just blatantly wrong, all the while behaving as arrogant and ignorant ---punks---. That takes away from whatever message you claim to be trying to communicate.

I tease people based on what they say. I have no any agenda or generalized opinions, I don't know whom you to refer as "we".

Just because most of the people on this forum disagree with me (or do they?) that doesn't mean I have anything against this forum. I don't even have anything against people I argue with/against. Even Xiaou, I love him, with him I actually agree the most. Well, sure I hate him for what I said before, but that's nothing compared to how much I love him. Why do you think I got into trouble to that driver in the first place, and read his posts across MAME forums? And you. I think it's that muppet, or something, I just like talking to you for some reason. I like your temper. I think we might be similar, only I'm older, or younger... whichever is "better". :-)

I love this forum. Are you craazy?! How do you think I'd ever build my own arcade controls? And adapters, and mouse hacks, and spinners and bloody 720 Degrees? Where would I get inspirations to work on my MAME build? Who would help me figure out all those things on the way? "You", my friend, you and this forum. And that's why when I call you "friend", I actually really mean it. "Mate", that's when I'd like to challenge you. I like games, Chef. I like challenge, and competition... I like argument. We had some nice arguments, you and I, and you got me few times, and I admitted every time. Even draw you big "congratulations" picture over whole screen once, remember? -- Chef, I learned English from Math and Physics textbooks, and movies. I think my English may sound "formal", or something, so you're reading me bit wrongly.

Do you have religion, Chef? Atheist, agnostic? Something else? Do you believe in aliens?

Oraap, do you talk like this in real life?  Because I'd imagine you have the record for most restraining orders filed against a person.

Interesting. Well, I did my best to be nice, I tried many different things and I don't know what was it at the end, maybe you just got tired of it, but I think you now hate me less than before, and I am glad about it.

330Mhz + 64Mb illegal board gets over 25,000 views and people are lining up to buy it.

It's a crime against the law and injustice to other options - cheaper and better hardware.

Who's gonna stop that crime? Daold-man, or the Driver-man?

Go ahead, you try it. If you knock the goblin down you can be my sidekick.
