Ticket spewing redemption crap>:D
I like the kid who built the cardboard cab around his computer better.

Seriously, I like that the father didn't stifle him.

Some pretty fancy camerawork too.  A nicely-produced video.

Eh, I knew kids in cub scouts who would've built it out of wood. One probably would've done custom engraving/shaping with hand tools.

Thats a funny statement "I knew kids who woud've".... but in the end, none of them did.  ::)  That statement might have meant something if it would have said you knew kids who did something similiar but out of wood and hand carved it.

Just cause someone has the skills to do something, doesnt mean a thing if they dont do it.  The kid had little to work with and did something very impressive and creative, most kids would have sat on their ass staring at a gameboy or internet all day.  I give the kid credit for using his brain, something most kids fail at these days.

Just saw this on the news last night (link). What an awesome kid and story. If I lived nearby, I'd go there in a second.

Some people just don't realize how much something as little as trying out a child's homemade game or giving a complement means to that child. The next time you see a kid's lemonade stand, stop and buy one.

I give his father so much credit for allowing his son to do this... How many of us would have been mad with the mess our kids made instead of encouraging him to expand and do more...

Glad to see such a great story...

For all I know, they might've. I remember seeing their Pinewood Derby cars. One guy made something like a Bentley. He got first place for design (and placed third in the races). I recall they built other things, but I hated building stuff, so don't remember what else.
