USB Mount Question
« on: March 26, 2012, 07:26:12 pm »
I want to mount a couple of USB jacks under my CP.  I bought one of these from Amazon but am not really happy with the look of it.

http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-28060USB-Female-Panel/dp/B001AW5MSM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1332804066&sr=8-2

I'd like something with a more finished look like the one below but at a cheaper price.

I'm being anal because you probably won't even see this once the CP is mounted.

Just curious if anyone has found a similar product or has some suggestions for me.

I just bought an extension USB cable from MonoPrice, and flush mounted it on the front.  Took my RotoZip to it, and then applied epoxy from the back side.  Not the greatest picture, but you get the idea.  Actually doesn't look that bad in person.

Yeah those panel mount ones are slick. For an even more finished look, install them with a rivet gun instead of screws! I have ordered 80 of them recently in varying configurations [mic, usb, firewire] for my studio. Not looking forward to soldering :(
