That is not good.  I was planning on ordering a trackball from them tomorrow.  I guess i will look elsewhere.  Too bad because they have the best selection.

Also seems like most everything they have on their website is out of stock.  I've had good luck with them in the past.

I have also I would always get my order in 2 days from date of my order as we live in NC.

Only thing that was on per-order status that I ordered was the sanwa sticks and buttons.

There was a recent thread on Joystiq http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/the-joystiq-joystick-chapter-1-parts-is-parts/ about building a fight stick that mentioned LL as a supplier, and many of the comments were disparaging LL for stuff like this. Can't be good for business... I suggest going with Paradise Arcade, a lot of the same parts there and all my dealings there have been good.
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

Man I wish I knew that before I ordered, I saw one saying ll had someone waiting up to 6 months.
Maybe I should go ahead and drop the order.

Inevitably, something has happened to the majority of vendors in this hobby over the last thirteen years. Unfortunately, it seems to often mean people get stuck in the death rattle. Looking at LizardLick.com, I can't help imagining a combination of SlikStik and Ram Controls unfolding....

Ya I've ordered from them a few times also and always got it 2-3 days from order every time.
Now I don't think he keeps stock on hand anymore and waits to get alot of orders and places 1 big order for everything or something.

A couple months ago I ordered some sticks from them and after a couple weeks also started getting no response to emails.  After over a month of this I filed a paypal dispute and within hours they had canceled my order LOL.  If you are looking for the types of products LL carries, I can't recommend Paradise Arcade Shop enough:
http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/en/
Ordered from them after cancelling my lizard lick order and got the same sticks all the way from Hawaii in just days.

it might be some kind of bankruptcy. basically you have to not pay your bills for a long time to claim bankruptcy. so theoretically its better to continue to accept orders and not fullfill if bankruptcy is the route lizardlick is taking. They basically tell you to not pay your bills. judging by the massive no stock of items i most definitely wouldnt order from them.

It's the radio silence that is the most disconcerting.  If he would come up on the net or at least shoot out some emails saying "hey, I slammed my pecker in a door, it'll be a month.  I don't have your money as it paid for pecker repairs... I will make you whole when I can" he would get more respect than leaving people to wonder if he's pulling a Ram Controls.

Yeah, this doesn't look good. I ordered a coin flap from them that was the wrong size and they would not respond to my refund request. Had to "force" a Paypal refund. I will not be ordeing from them ever again.

Something must have happened. I once bought a few items, then remembered I needed something else so I made a new order. I had no problem paying shipping a second time since it was my fault, but without prompting they combined the orders and even refunded my shipping on the second item. I've never had problems with them, so I hope this is just temporary (though damage may have already been done).

I get really good service every time I ordered from there. His website is out of stock on a lot of items, maybe he can't keep up with the demand of parts or something.

Yea, was just some G07 parts. Flyback, HOT and a couple other small things. Just checked my paypal to make sure, it was Jan 3rd. Received package within 5 days. Hoping they are not folding, they have a good variety and one of the cheapest shipping to Canada.

I have ordered 2 times from LL.  Never had a problem in the past except...

When I placed a order..it seems forever for them to actually ship out the product...well...a week....but to some people thats un accectable..2 - 3 days I can see, but a week...or from what i've read on here even longer...

I'm very hesitant now to order from them now reading this thread.

I think LL has to come to this thread and let us all know what the deal is...

Ever since this thread, I now email the website first to check availibility on items and ask how long to expected shipment after placing a order.

I hope all goes well with you.

I forgot to mention. I just received an email from Lizardlick a few days ago regarding my MIA dust washers.

"This email is a notification that your order is processing. Please contact us if you have any questions about your order."

I don't mind waiting as long as there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I've been in the hobby for almost 10 years.

I'm still leary of LL after this thread.  I'd feel better if Chad came here and explained the situation.
Sounds like maybe people are placing orders for things that aren't in stock and they aren't being restocked.
In which case, the order should not just sit there for months.

If someone needs an alternative source for Japanese parts besides paradisearcadeshop,
My last order was from http://www.focusattack.com/
I placed an order with them because they are the only US source for "The Link" detachable JLF joystick shaft.
http://www.focusattack.com/jlf-link/
The packing job wasn't the best, but nothing was scratched.
They used newspaper for filler, so I'm guessing it's real small operation.
(I say "they" because I don't know who "they " are)

The website shows the amount of product in stock.
The joystick shaft was out of stock when I ordered it, but had an estimated restock date.
Two days after that restock date passed, my order shipped.
(I received update emails on the status of the order throughout the whole process)
That's my experience with them.  I've only ordered from there once, but plan to use them next time I need Japanese parts.

Well I've sent an email requesting to cancel my order about a week ago still have yet to hear back and my order is still on hold. I'd say if he has the parts in stock your good to go but if they are in pre-order status I wouldn't bother.

Huhn. Makes me think of a keychain dongle, but actually it's basically the same as a pneumatic quick release. Surprised no one has thought to make one before this.

File a complaint with your credit card company.  If that doesn't pan out consider writing it off as theft/fraud on your taxes next year to get a bit of it back.

Man, that sucks!

As a follow up to my previous post about http://www.focusattack.com/
I placed another order with them last week and received a tracking number within a half hour of placing my order.
This one was packaged better too.  I have no problem recommending them for things that the vendors who post on BYOAC don't carry.
