Yeah, I'd say just get the original hardware. I've never tried a Retron 3, but I have a RetroDuo that plays NES and SNES. Compabibility is mostly good (though Super Mario World of all things just refuses to work on it

), but I've had a lot of problems with crashing and difficulty loading, mostly on SNES games. And the worst part is, when a game crashes, it typically erases the saved games if there are any.

All of my SNES games work 100% fine on the original hardware, I only got the RetroDuo as a NES replacement and to cut down on the number of devices by the TV. I wish I had just gotten a regular Nintendo made NES.
