Dynamo HS9 Control Panel Layout for Street Fighter 2

Hey guys,
new to the board so I figured I'd post my question here. Take a look at my awful Control Panel that came in my Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition Cab.

Its pretty messy for pre-drilled holes. I am wondering what is my best solution to get my control layout to the traditional Street Fighter style layout. I have the templates for drilling new holes ect. But what do I do about the holes already made for the Joystick and the odd button config?





Should I just put some sheet metal on top in the shape of the CP and then drill new holes. Maybe Bondo the bottom part to fill in the holes and then sand?

or

Should I just go to a metal shop and ask them to cut out the present CP, cut me a new CP with the holes and Weld it on to the CP Frame?

Personally I would get a new CP cut and welded onto the old frame You could easily put a sheet of metal in and then bondo drill out new holes etc, but if you have someone local who can machine cut a new CP it will probably save you a lot of time and work.

Thanks for the advice. I think it might be my best choice unless Nerdygrrl can't find me a Dynamo corner cut somewhere with that layout.

+1 on adding a new piece of sheet metal. However, i prefer using metal filler like US Chemical's ALL-Metal rather than bondo. Just a personal preference of mine.

I've seen quite a few dynamo CP repairs this way. Simply cut out a matching piece of metal and lay it right on top.
