Mortal Kombat Kabinet and X-Arcade Controller
« on: June 09, 2011, 08:51:39 am »
Sorry Guys wasn't sure if this should go in woodworking or the Main Forum, Please correct it if I made a mistake.

Has anyone put a X-Arcade Controller on a Mortal Kombat Cabinet?  Im debating whether to build or buy.
Thanks

Malenko

I will hate you if you do that. I mean, moving the guts is one thing, bolting an Xarcade onto a MK cab is another.

If you do, Shao Khan will destroy you and Melenna will give you Baraka crabs...and Goro will use your carcass as toliet tissue...

If you buy the cab... buy the buttons, joysticks, interface, etc... DONT mount the  controler over the MK CP... If you are missing the MK control panel... buy a slab of wood and remake the CP...

Ok, Let me add..(Left the IMPORTANT part out) this is a scratch build replica.. the Actual Mortal Kombat cab in sitting nicely waiting for a little TLC.

Hehe, yeah, that was the important part.  You almost brought down the wrath.  That being said, don't go the X-Arcade route.  You're building a replica from scratch, do it right, make your own control panel too.

But will you hate him in his face ?

 ;D

To the OP -- if you went through the trouble to build from scratch, keep doing so, unless the X-Arcade interface provides you an advantage (vis a vis interfacing to other systems).
