R.C. Pro-Am game problems
« on: May 10, 2011, 07:00:43 pm »
has anyone get the game to work R.C. Pro-Am in MAME. Just came across it in my cab and it looked like fun to play but cant seem to open the game. IM assuming it works because i have all the art work and video for it in my front end Hyperspin but cant open it. Tried a few different roms also just in case it was corrupted.

its a playchoice 10 game.  I believe it worked when I last tried it but I play all the Playchoice games on my NES emulator.

I can't get any of the Playchoice games to work in MAME.  I can't get past the game selection screen.  Not that it's a big deal, but I've always kind of wondered what I'm doing wrong with those.

It has some weird button configs that have to be changed. Like the button to select which game you want to play..

Its the same game, just on a timer that i'm aware of... I have a dedicated playchoice 10 dual monitor at home and the games are the same as the NES versions (don't quote me, I only have 5 games).

as far as NES vs arcade, the only game I can think of off hand that is significantly different is Super Mario Bros. and by significant, I mean some of the levels are different.

You know, someone said this, but I was skeptical. I guess I'll have to check it out, though I'm not an amazing huge SMB1 fan per say, so we'll see how that goes. I could never justify putting a quarter into a playchoice cab, because I had a Nintendo at home.
