Retro Arcade Themed Tees! Who's a Fan?
« on: April 07, 2011, 05:10:48 pm »
I really wonder if I'm the only one on BYOAC that has done this.

So you walk into your local Target, Walmart, JC Penney, or whatever big box department store for some household shoppings. Than you see this for $9.99:

How the hell could you resist? LOL

You MUST confess in this thread if you ever happily geeked yourself out in one of these retro gaming tees they sell at almost EVERY department store and which one(s) did you get? Lol.

I own the above Donkey Kong shirt, a similar Galaga shirt, and a purplish Dig Dug tee. :D

I picked up a Space Invaders for my son.

He loves it even it's a size too large. ;)

I can't find it on their site anymore, but I have this shirt I got from Threadless.com a while back, and wear on a regular basis:

Although friends have been quick to point out the glaring oversights in this shirt, including 2 complete lines that should have disappeared, and the fact that tetris never drops more than one block at a time.

That Donkey Kong T-shirt is awesome! I've seen it before but it seems it's only available in the US. There is one ob eBay floating around that UK based... but the image on the T-shirt is completely different. It's the same barrel level but only with half the platforms displayed. Like wtf? Obviously designed by someone with no clue about the game at all.

Mistakes aside I think the shirt is great.

Heh, those are great.

I don't have any game-specific t-shirts, but I do have one with the standard Fuji logo, and another with a big picture of the 2600 joystick with the phrase "The Original Joystick".  Totally geeky, but for $8 I had to buy it.

LOL I never think of it as arcade specific, though I guess it could be.  But I have this one I got from work:

I'm wearing it right now in fact!

I bought that DK shirt online for perhaps ten dollars. I've been wearing my Tempest shirt (from Atarigames.com) all day.

Ahhh, they're not getting it.
