FS: Slickstick Control Panel St. Louis, MO

This CP was barely used. My brother bought it with the intentions of building a machine, but never did. If you live in the area and would like to purchase this control panel lets talk. I have no idea what the value should be... I'm thinking in the $400 range.

Bump

If I get no takers - I'm building a pedestal for it and making it my new showcase.

Enjoy your new showcase cabinet.

No doubt! I even did a little surveying before hand and most people seemed to think the price was decent at $500. I thought $400 would be a no-brainer for someone.

The arcade market is kaput.

Not trying to thread-crap, but I don't see what makes that thing worth $400?

Is the height of the cp box designed to make it the right height for standing use while on a table?  It seems very tall.

I don't consider it a thread crap. I think it's a legit question. I think Slikstik was originally charging $800 or so for these?

It has:
iPac 4
Slikstik spinner
Happ Trackball
3 Super Joysticks
2 Happ topfire joysticks
27 buttons

I think from a bag of parts perspective it would cost around that much, no?

That is about what all those would cost.  Didn't realize top fire sticks were so expensive, or that the slikstik spinner was that pricey..

I disagree with kaput, it seems the market is coming back slowly and prices are on the rise.

Ebay that thing and set your reserve at what you want.

Plenty of people would pay that, those are nice.

Its all about your target market

Price seems fair to me, for someone who does not have the time or skills to do it themselves, instant arcade controls.

Best of luck.

I agree...  $400 seems exceptable to me.  You aren't able to buy SlikStik panels new anymore and for people who want one this is actually cheaper then what they used to go for from them directly.

Its worth it for all those controls, problem is finding someone who wants all those controls in that set up.  Its also not that great of a deal basically you are selling all the controls and throwing the box in for free.

But hey, free box is always cool.

Yeah slikstick used to sell these for more, but they also went out of business so they probably didn't sell like hot cakes...

Maybe it's regional, but in the midwest it seems that anyone who wants an arcade cabinet has one. I've sold a lot of arcade games and the last one I sold went for peanuts.

Depends on what your selling I guess, original games don't pull cash like the multi's do, unless its, rare, popular or mint / restored condition.
I have sold 3 multi's in the last year and 1/2 for 1000, 1200, and 1500. I redo the games completely paint art everything, I made about 500 to 800 per game.
Never going to get rich doing it but it funds the hobby money
