Defender and Stargate - they live!
« on: February 25, 2011, 08:48:02 am »
After years with both my Defender and Stargate non-functional and gathering dust, I finally found someone to come out to my home and get them working! ;D I had forgotten how much I enjoyed playing the Defender (which had been down for over 5 years) - but it only took about 8 games to get back into the groove and set the high score at 999725. Now I can try for the perfect high score (999975) which is always tricky as you risk hyper-spacing into an enemy and rolling over the million mark. It's also very strange to switch between the two games - Stargate plays so much faster than Defender.

That's awesome man! I remember dropping many quarters into the Stargate machine at my local convenience store. When I would run out of money the shop owner would put me to work stocking shelves and then pay me a crappy wage of a few quarters so I could keep going. He got some cheap ass labor from me boy!   :lol

Nice! Defender never gets boring for me. That game was years ahead of its time.

Funny how small the two Williams games look with my monster rig in the middle!
