Where to buy marquee?
« on: February 11, 2011, 03:18:38 am »
Hi

I'm new here so go easy!

I have recently bought my first cab and it came with (cool) Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back graphics on the side but no marquee. After googling I can see there are a few places in the US that sell the matching marquee but as I am based in the UK, I would appreciate some advice on a recommended supplier. I did try emailing a place called EMDKAY but they never bothered responding.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Cheers
Andy
Why be difficult, when with a bit of effort, you can be impossible?

Scott did an amazing job on my custom designed marquee, highly recommended! He might even be able to reproduce the Star Wars marquee for you.

I have a question about this, too. I've seen on gamongrafix that their control panels come with a pre-layered panel of some form of plastic. Do ALL of these have that? I'm about to start adding graphics to mine, and there is no part currently that has the lexan stuff. It would simplify the process if all parts could come pre-layered with/onto the poly-whatever plastic-y stuff.

I built my first control panel using Gameongrafix (it was called mame marquees back then). It's adhesive with that polycarbonite stuff. and no acrylic covering over it.
very durible. I had it stored a bit rough recently and its still in great shape.

I will be getting the cpo for my new control panel from them again. I don't want acrylic on my cpo.

I am regretting placing my order with EMDKAY, it's been over a month and I still have not heard back from them after sending them a number of emails with no response.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

I've never had a problem with EMDKAY myself. I like his products and service so much, in fact, that I started advertising his site in my signature.
