bar stools

Hey all, just wondering where you got your bar stools, chairs, etc. How much did you pay for them and would you recommend them.. I'm getting tired of standing for long gaming sessions and steel chairs are to low and not very comfortable. Resting your chin on the panel, not so much

Go look at your local restaurant supply store. I got mine for $50 each, and they are the same ones that a lot of bars use. They are very well built.

I got mine via Craigslist. The center posts of each stool is a giant bottle of Budweiser.  ;D

I picked up a pair of these a year or two ago at Costco; think I paid ~$75 a piece for them.

Swivel seat, pneumatic height adjustment, backrest, and a wide base (so the kids don't fall over when they climb up onto them).

Love them.

Doing a quick Google now, though, the only place I seem to be able to find them is a classifieds site back in Cornwall, Ontario.   Too bad; they're great seats.

I'm in the market for a couple stools as well.  I found decently priced stools at Value City Furniture, but didn't love any of them.

Try Big Lots!

I got bar stools there for $30.00 a piece.  Good selection!  :applaud:

Thanks for all the input. I have a Big Lots rights around the corner from me and I think my parents have a cosco card. Might be time to make a visit :) The last stool I bought was from walmart, pretty comfortable and had a back rest but it literally fell apart on me.

I'm going to head on over to BYOBS, see how others have built their own bar stools  ;D

truthfully, the idea has been on the back-burner for a while.  Doesn't look too hard (famous last words).  Some legs, a swivel (http://www.leevalley.com/en/hardware/page.aspx?cat=3,44013&p=40585), etc.

Anyone here ever build a bar stool?

Bed Bath and Beyond has some decent ones for $50, use their 20% off coupon and the price gets even better. They rotate too so fun for the kids.
