Thanks.

This is for the nieces.  They like pacman and some of those old games, but the keyboard is awkward for them.  The black button has one of Pongo's stickers on it.  Artwork was taken from localarcade.com and manipulated a bit.  Printed on plain paper, as you can tell.  Tried to get pink t-molding, but that was a bust, so went with red.  This one is further along than my own, so it was a bit of a learning experience.  Plexi cut to size with router and flush trim bit - what a mess!

A colleague has requested same, so now I have to do it all over again.

I like it. I think basic black might've been a better choice for the t-molding color. It would've grounded the edges - sort of outlined the whole thing.

Looks great  :applaud:

You did really well to get the button placement to match the artwork so well (or vice versa). Thats one thing that really gets to me if they are off line.

Good job

Thanks everyone.

To line up the buttons I put small black "+" on the artwork at the centre of the buttons, placed art over the wood, then marked the spots with hammer and awl.  I'm using forstner bits, which make clean holes, but tend to drift if using a hand drill, so I bought a drill press, .....  The pink buttons are the Sanwas, meant for metal panels, but the plexi holds them in well enough.  The black button and t-molding are the only things holding the plexi down....seems to be good enough for now, but we'll see what happens once the kids get a hold of it.

It was harder to get the t-molding slot in just the right place - but thats what scrap pieces of wood are for.

Never thought of using black t-molding....will consider it next time.

Thanks
