cheers for the help guys,
i download the app mentioned on the ultimarc site to remove all ati drivers, ran it, shut the pooter down, plonked in the avga 3000, re-booted, went into bios and selected PCIe slot as the main gfx card.
i didnt quite get the sequence of events mentioned in the instructions, and it messed up... it tried to install some CCC stuff first, catylist comtrol panel i think,
so i ran the driver remover again, tried again,
got it to load the proper drivers this time, and i now get the choice of resolutions for arcade monitors, but i then had a problem, tried to change the resolution, and the lcd monitor i'm using (analouge only input, using the dvi output on the card with an adaptor as told to do)
monitor said 'input not supported' and that was that,
tried re-booting, same thing, went into safemode, changed the res. re-booted, same problem,
so i tried my GF's lcd screen which has a dvi input, and it works,
for some reason i can not run an anolouge input lcd screen,
not sure whats going on, the monitor isnt saying 'no signal' it's saying 'input not supported' so not sure what it's complaining about, resolution?? or can it be trying to shove a digital signal down the analouge pins.
i havent tried it on my arcade monitor yet, need to make up a cable, but i wanted to be sure it's working right on an lcd monitor first,
