Future pinball config for Pin cabinets?
« on: July 20, 2010, 03:09:17 pm »
So I'm researching the possibility building of a Future Pinball dedicated cab as my next project.

I messed with the software some, but I couldn't figure out how to make the playfield completely flat so it will look good on a widescreen monitor sideways.

Can someone point me in the right direction on some wiki's or info on how to do this?  (Along with making the backglass appear on another 4:3 monitor.

Thanks in advance!

Are you looking to build a full cabinet such as mine?

For future pinball you need to edit the shortcut to add /arcaderender so the shortcut for Future Pinball would look something like:

C:\Future Pinball\Future Pinball.exe /arcaderender

Once launched using the shortcut you will have options within the Future Pinball options to allow for an arcade view such as screen rotation and setting up the backglass, etc.

Check out the HyperPin forums located on HyperSpin-fe.com.  HyperPin has become "the" pinball front end.  With HyperPin you can have both Future Pinball and Visual Pinball living in harmony.

This is my cab running HyperPin.  It functions much like HyperSpin, but is made for dedicated pinball cabinet setups.

Also, during this process VPForums.org will be a wealth of information.  Between the HyperPin forums and VPForums you can get any information you need from building the cabinet to software configurations.

Hey Delusional, check out my virtual pinball cab in my signature as I outline in my first two posts how to setup Visual Pinball/Vpinmame and Hyperpin.  If you have any questions feel free to post it here or send me a message.
